One Night Stands
Do you like to act but feel like you don't have enough time to do it? Well then here's the perfect opportunity for you:
One Night Stands are one-act plays that come together in just 2 hours. They are unmemorized, unpolished, and a fantastic experience! Actors and directors (and for our Variety ONS, singers, dancers and choreographers) are all encouraged to join in these low-key evenings.

24-Hour Burn
The complete theater experience from conception to performance in only 24 hours!
Writers work furiously from 8pm Friday night until 8am Saturday to create pieces for specific actors. From 8:00 Saturday morning to 8:00 Saturday night, actors and directors rehearse the new works, then perform the shows! It's the entire theatrical process squeezed into 24 hours. You are provided with unlimited support and free food through the night (if you're a writer) and all day Saturday (if you're an actor or director). The Burn is a great opportunity to get involved and try something new; all are welcome and encouraged to participate!
Please understand, you do NOT need to be there for 24 hours. The commitment is only 12 hours--either 8 to 8 Friday night or 8 to 8 on Saturday, depending on whether you are interested in writing or acting/directing.

Full Length Plays
Masque and Triangle gives students the ability to direct full length productions, and produce exciting comedies or dramas. These shows normally have a production time around the length of a semester.
Fringe Festival
M&T hosts the annual Fringe Festival every spring. Inspired by the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we showcase short plays directed and performed by Colgate Students, conduct theater workshops and discussions, and celebrate the performing arts. The Fringe is traditionally held in April or March.
Cabaret
The Cabaret is one of Colgate's best loved regular events on campus. A musical theater showcase performance put together each semester, the show consists of a collection of musical theater numbers from various Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals. Each show is put together during a four week rehearsal process, culminating in two live performances in the Palace Theater.
Full Length Musicals
When we have the capacity to do so, M&T puts on musical productions directed by students. Shows typically run for one full semester, and showcase the immense vocal talents on campus. They also give musicians a chance to thrive in the theater community.
